Campo de' Fiori, the Vineria, the food and wine, cafés and trattorias, people, friends, sport, my family, my Italian mother, my English father, Italian cinema, my dog Lola...
I was working hard at home, and didn't have time to take Lola for a walk, so a friend kindly offered to take her. He took this picture. When it came time to go home, Lola refused to come out of the water (some of us have a mind of our own), and my friend was forced to strip down to his underwear and go in and get her. He hasn't taken her for a walk since.
Auntie Diana and Pop
This picture of my father and his sister fox hunting appeared in an English newspaper in the mid 1930s. My Aunt has been in hiding ever since, afraid she might get a visit from the animal rights people.
Mike, Me & Charlie
